Hardwood conservatories

HardwoodAll visible woodwork is factory sprayed with one base coat and two coats of microporous top coat from either a range of Impra wood stains or opaque colours. This avoids the need for site painting except for touching up any marks from erection.

All timber is kiln-dried high grade Red Grandis. All side frame components, which have an overall thickness of 67mm are made from Red Grandis chosen for its reliable operation of opening windows, doors and the roof structure. The sectional dimensions of roof members and position of tie bars are determined during the final design stage.

All frames are dry glazed to safeguard the sealed units from water ingress. Frame rebates are lined with double sided high security tape then the glazing bead is sealed to the glass using a waterproof mastic and fixed in position with a nail gun.

Opening windows come complete with weather seals, stainless steel friction stays, espagnolette locking and handles in a variety of finishes. The windows can be fully closed or left in the night vent position.

High security stormproof doors have a mitred framework, 67mm deep with a 46mm rebate to accept the 24mm sealed units. They are fitted with three adjustable hinges per door (adjustable in width, height and projection). There are three point deadlocks on the primary door with two point vertical bolts on the slave door. There is the option of full length glass panels, mid-rail or solid bottom panels.
Roof, door and window glazing is 24mm (4x16x4) toughened Saint-Gobain Cool Lite glass sealed units. The glazing system has external polyester powder coated aluminium which ensures a virtually maintenance-free roof. Thermally broken aluminium roof lights are available with either manual or electric operation.

A full range of window fenestration is available to suit all designs.
